The Bankruptcy Abuse Prevention and Consumer Protection Act of 2005, signed on April 20th, has been the cause of more than 11,000 last minute case filings in North Carolina alone. Chapter 7; now people who have an income stream are more obligated to use
Chapter 13 bankruptcy, which requires a long-term repayment plan.
